About b store

The original concept for b store was to complement the b store shoe line by inviting graduates from London colleges to stock their collections, using it as a launch pad for young designers within the fashion, art and design sphere. The b store clothing collection is designed in store by co owners Matthew Murphy and Kirk Beattie. When Matthew met Jose in 2001, Jose was an independent brand owner wanting to launch a London-based footwear label, hence the brand was born. Since then Matthew and Kirk have become the face of the brand, working in store and designing collections.

The store relocated in 2006 due to its growing success, reputed early on for carrying innovative labels. b store’s unisex clothing line added a new dimension to the concept, and earned them the title for ‘Shop of the Year’ at the British Fashion Awards. b store’s progression has them selling to over 50 stockists worldwide and presenting sesonal collections at London Fashion Week. In 2009 b store joined forces with The Design Museum for the Super Contemporary exhibition. They also got together with G-shock featuring a range of limited edition watches in an exclusive design collaboration called Tokyo Calling.
