Banksy is no stranger to the limelight so his latest foray of works that have been spotted all over England come as no surprise, especially considering the presentation of his “Cardinal Sin” sculpture at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool recently. In addition, here is a look at another profound piece of work with this sculpture entitled “Fallen Soldier”, a piece features a vintage ceramic Roman soldier fallen and broken accompanied by a cautionary wet floor sign.

Having made an impression on the streets, again, Banksy has in turn unveiled a piece if work at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool. Entitled, “Cardinal Sin” this unique sculpture highlights a church official whose face is covered with blank bathroom tiles to provide a mosaic motif. Perhaps a reaction to all the child abuse scandals that have ravaged the church in recent times.

Highlighted by the “YOU DON’T NEED PLANNING PERMISSION TO BUILD CASTLES IN THE SKY” slogan this would have to be one of the most stand out pieces from Banksy recently to hit the streets in London. Accented by the two marks on the brick wall and the curve in the slogan to provide impression of a smiley face to portray an ironic picture.

Banksy has made his mark with another new piece of work in London, in his latest flurry of works to spark hysteria and talk. Placed on the wall of The National Gallery in Central London the “Ostrich CCTV”, which features a pair of ostriches, one notably of their head replaced by a CCTV camera. I’ll leave it up to you to interpret the meaning of this piece.

Here is another piece of work from the highly coveted Banksy to appear in London with a piece that defines his signature stencil aesthetic. Entitled “No Stopping Rats”, it is another intelligent piece that goes back to the artists roots and perhaps provokes criticism from the contemporary section of the art world.

Off the back of suggested new work in Liverpool, Banksy returns to London with this piece which reads “Sorry! The lifestyle you ordered is currently out of stock”. Taking over billboard space, this is signature Banksy, although of course we can’t confirm that.

Of course it can’t be confirmed whether or not this is Banksy’s latest piece, but all signs point towards it. Spotted in Liverpool, the piece shows a plane leaving behind a trail of a Heart.

As with most Banksy works – there’s yet to be an official word on this piece spotted in London. ‘Shop Till You Drop” is a reminder of the effects of consumerism over the coming christmas period. Keszler Gallery has already opened the doors for their “Original Street Works” exhibition featuring Banksy’s street art. Lifted from their original walls in Los Angeles, Palestine, Brighton and New Orleans, dating back to as far as 2002, these works are now collected and being presented in one location. The video above features the process involved in transporting the “Stop and Search” and “Wet Dog” pieces from Palestine to the United Kingdom and getting the works ready for their current location in New York. The gallery is geared to run til September 30.

With the riots going on across the UK right now not sure if it can be said to be great or worse timing for Banksy’s hour-long special The Antics Roadshow. Set to air Aug. 13th on Channel 4 and then made available on 4oD after its original broadcast, the program chronicles and dicects some of the more provokative stunts in recent years. Contributors include Michael Fagan talking about breaking into the Queen’s bedroom: ‘I looked into her eyes, they were dark’; and Noel Godin, who pioneered attacking celebrities with custard pies: ‘Instead of a bullet I give them a cake’. The program will also include the first interview with the man responsible for the absurd turfhead Winston Chruchill stunt.

Banksy has paid homage to fellow street artist TOX, who has been caught up in the British Transport Police’s endeavor to get graffiti of the streets with “Operation Misfit” making its mark. Set to appear in court over charges relating to street art, Bansky has provided his support with a signature piece of work in Tox’s hometown of Camden. With Banksy in some ways becoming a metaphor for street art, having been the corner stone of Mr. Brainwash’s documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop, I am certain this piece of work will go a long way to create positive attention towards Tox’s cause.

While I am certain the installation Banksy had already set up at the much talked about “Art in the Streets” Exhibition at MOCA was one of the most talked about, it appears the Bristol born artist has revised his work. One piece that stands out is the the hazmat suite clad golf pair with their golf cart taking the place of the asphalt roller, which has been moved outside and sacrificed Yogi bear into a pancaked, bloody mess. Also, referring to the See Saw animatronic installation setup during preparations for Marks and Stencils last winter, the gasmask wearing golfers are enjoying post-apocolyptic martinis while lining up putts on the museums 18th green.

The Living Room mural first seen in Camden has been updated with two new panels, along with a yardsale-style, generic landscape canvas repurposed with the saying,“Subject to availability for a limited period only”, commentary on the degradation of our environment.
