German car manufacturers BMW have unveiled the iconic M6 Coupe for next year this week. The sportier version of the car, the M6 keeps the engine, transmission, and electronic gadgetry specifications from the four-door version although the configured to specifications for the two-door edition comparable to the original M 635 CSi from the 1970′s. The 2013 model features a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that outputs 560 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque to the pavement through their massive 19-inch alloy wheels and electronic “Active-M” limited-slip differentials. Specifications of the transmission include a seven-speed dual-clutch sequential manual gearbox, with a fully manual configuration in consideration for a later release.

The vehicle is shown in action atop of the U.S. Bank Tower in Los Angeles, which stands 1,018 feet tall, making it the tallest building in California and the tenth tallest in the United States. The 2012 BMW M5 has surfaced with these official images that provide great insight a design that is benefited by increased aerodynamics without sacrificing its aggressive form. Featuring enlarged air intakes in the front fascia, four tailpipes and 20-inch wheels with Z-rated tires are among the new addition. While the technical aspects of the new M5 doesn’t disappoint in performance either, with the previous V10 engine replaced with a new twin-turbocharged V8. In addition, 552 horsepower (a 45 hp boost from the last model) coming on at 6000 rpm and a torque of 501 lb-ft, the impressive design does 0-60 in 4.4 seconds.

With only 20 of these in production, the BMW M3 Coupe in a Frozen Black Edition makes for compelling news. With the car manufactured in all its grace and glory complete with its 4.0-liter, 414-horsepower V8 the Frozen Black coupes will only be available with the M DCT dual-clutch transmission, which lowers the 0-60 time from 4.7 seconds to 4.5.

All 20 coupes will be fitted with BMW’s M3 Competition Package, while some other notable mentions include heated seats, satellite radio and a premium sound system. In addition to the Frozen Black paint, this special M3 is set apart from its kin with black Novillo leather with red contrast stitching, M3 GTS wheels, red brake calipers and a whole lot of other sinister design touches.
