With the release of The Selby’s new book taking place worldwide on 1st April, there will be a limited edition release at colette on the 1st of March. Known for always looking inside numerous homes of the industry’s beautiful people, have we ever considered what The Selby’s home would look like? Well, the clever team at colette have opened up their store windows to reveal the set-up apartment of The Selby! He will be living and working from the colette windows for one week, from 1st March to 6th March.

The weeks events are as follows, from colette’s own Guillaume Salmon.

* Monday March 1st 4-6pm come by for a meet and greet at The Selby’s Window Apartment
* Tuesday March 2nd 4-6pm come by with your pet and The Selby will make its portrait.The Selby will be assisted by celebrity canine Oscar the Water Bar Labrador.
* Wednesday March 3rd 4-6pm come do some Karaoke in The Selby’s Apartment Window hosted by Hot Breath Karaoke. After every song you will spin the wheel and get a chance to win some insane prizes care of The Selby and colette. Send your song requests to hotbreathkaraoke@hotmail.com

Andre ‘Drawings’ at colette is now open to the public. Here we get an inside look at the Parisian boutique colette’s exhibition of Andre’s work ‘Drawings’. Aside from the drawings themselves, Andre has also spray painted some of the surrounding columns, walls and several objects including a selection of surfboards all in his signature graffiti style. ‘Drawings’ exhibition runs through until February 27th 2010.

The boot has been completely re-worked to house the Rafale Ecurie and is equipped with a sound and video projection system that allows you to follow the evolution of the shoe from its conception and initial sketches through to the hand nishing of the product by Hardridge’s. Hardridge’s Rafale Ecurie and its mobile case can be previewed from 26th January in the Colette boutique, home of both Parisian and international hype, where the shoe will certainly become its best seller this season.

The new series of works by the very busy-as-of-late Parisian artists Andre known for his alter-ego of graffiti as Mr. A, entitled simply ‘Drawings’, will exhibit at colette kicking of on the 1st February 2010. Having just recently collaborated with brands such as Louis Vuitton and Vitamin Water, Andre is definitely keeping with his work’s momentum. This series of work is inspired by the imagery of love- psychedelic 60’s and 70’s, mixed with memories that have a comic feel. In the world of Andre, ‘his drawings are a kind of currency, like notes for exchange of love. For him the solution to suppress this huge layer of capitalism, the inside or outside of it, he prefers to think the middle of art lies in what love can buy- love and generosity.’ Quote from Olivier Zahm.

You can always count on Comme des Garcons to deliver a collection that is completely left field of anything else that exists out there already. Their Homme Plus Spring/Summer 2010 Collection offers an eclectic mix of modern vs old tartans and color choices. What would have a been a basic and typical shirt has been layered with additives such as a two-layer pocket of heavy fabric sporting a cut-out heart shape which gives the illusion of it falling from out from the pocket. 

A very loud collection which may be too full on to be wearing head to toe. But if you want any individuality this season, look no further.
