This PK Ripper Fixed Gear is the latest release from SE Racing and DC. On this occasion the model is fitting, with the use of a fixed gear bike with the collaboration with The Standard, showcasing the commuter nature of the bike. There will be 1000 bikes available, customised and coloured to fit the high profile hotel, and their newest New York location. If you’re not lucky enough to stay at The Standard and use one of the 15 complimentary bikes there, you can buy your own at The Standard’s online shop for $1,250 USD

Brooks | Limited Edition Coloured Saddles

Thing thing about Fixed Gear’s is that they are simple and classic but more often than not given a modern or event futuristic take. Brooks are synomomous with the classic take on the sport, but by creating a limited edition set of coloured saddles, the brand finds a fitting juxtaposition. Just 250 of the saddles will be made available this month.

Intersection Magazine Fixed-Gear Bike

Mike Giant x 4130: Dutch Fixed Gear Bike

While the popularity of fixed gears have really sky-rocketed in the year 2008. It seems as though everyone wants to ride fixed nowadays, and with many riders attempt to differentiate their bikes from others with bright colors and such. Here is a look at an interesting bike design by artist Mike Giant. Inspired by the Dutch bikes which Giant saw on the streets of Amsterdam, This collaborative bike features a very functional tray at the front and wheel mud guards. Nothing too over the top, but still makes for a very distinctive and neat all round utilitarian fixed gear. Take a look below.

Fixed Magazine Issue 2

London’s Fixed Magazine, have released their 2nd issue. Creative Director and SLAMXHYPE Blogger Viktor Vauthie r has again put together a great magazine full of some of the best Fixed Gear photography and news on the planet. The Winter 2008 issue provides a review of the Fixed gear scene in Milan, as well as a look at the Making of Macaframa. Also covered in this issue is the 2008 CMWC, the largest bike messenger event of the year, along with shops and product reviews. By far the most complete magazine on this single speed culture. PUMA presents: I-Cycle Space at Vice Gallery

2V, Viktor Vauthier (Art director FIXED magazine) and Cedric Viollet, have just finished a non commercial track bike photography project with Stolen Space and EASTPAK. 2V decided to follow 4 riders for 3 days with camera in hand. All photos have been taken by Cedric Viollet, check them out after the jump, you won’t be dissapointed, don’t forget to take into account, these photos were all taken manually!
