Thanks to KB LEE, we can take a glimpse at a few detailed pictures of the upcoming Converse x Undftd x Fragment Chuck Taylor All-Star slated to release 2/24/12. We’ve seen both Undftd and Fragment approach the classic model with subtle design and monochromatic colorways in the past, this time producing a hi top Chuck Taylor draped in red. While there is not much to be said, this makes for another highly anticipated release from these two iconic entities.

Uniform Experiment Star Print Madras Shirt

Uniform Experiment return to one of their best releases so far for their latest collection, their star print check shirt. This time they have produced it in some wonderful madras checks – perfect for the summer months.

We always look forward to new releases from this Fragment meets Soph label. On paper their approach just shouldn’t work, but their ability to take basics, which have entered the realm of stone cold classic that really shouldn’t be messed around with (Oxford shirts, chinos, etc…) and give them the simplest of twists to turn them into something truly different and special, is unique and completely punk rock!

These wont be easy to get hold of outside of Japan, but worth tracking down. Try the usual stockists (Slam Jam, Firmament, DSM).

Nike Sportswear X Fragment Design Tennis Classics

Nike Sportswear and Fragment Design celebrate the start of the new year by releasing their latest collaboration. Once again taking the Nike Tennis Classic as their canvas they have created a typically restrained piece of footwear livened up with a black lining and gold heel, featuring an embossed fragment logo.

Minimal classics that pretty much go with anything… I’m alread tracking down my pair now!

Neighborhood 15th Anniversary Feature in Grind Magazine

Created in 1994 by Shinsuke Takizawa and inspired by his passion for motorcycle culture and military clothing Neighborhood has grown to become one of Japan’smost iconic streetwear brands due to the robust and timeless nature of the concept behindtheir clothing. This year has seen them mark their 15th anniversary in style, with a high profile party and commemorative t-shirt range. Their latest celebration is a special edition of Grind Magazine, which includes a specially commissioned photo shoot featuring some of the most influential Japanese street culture icons modeling Neighborhood clothing, including a rather enviable Neighborhood X Fragment leather bikers jacket. Featured in the shoot are Tomoya Nagase (Tokio), Masatoshi Nagase (actor), Hiroshi Fujiwara (fragment), Show Ayanocozey (Kishidan), Keisuke Baba (Stylist / GB Skins) … and others.

Rolex Explorer by Bamford & Sons x fragment Design

Fragment design have extended their range of Bamford Watch Department’s bespoke Rolex watches on the Explorer model from Rolex’s timeless Oyster Perpetual Collection. Having seen the model in a black and neon blue color here, some new colors have now been added to complete the range including both neon purple and green, featuring the signature fragment logo and colored accents added to the seconds hand and the numerals at 3, 6, and 9. The Explorer has long been a favourite amongst Rolex collectors alongside the Submariner and other models from the Oyster Perpetual Collection, it’ll be interesting to see what other models Bamford and the fragment design team will work on in the future. SOPHNET. x fragment design x FYI Design FSF Urban Project collection

Here is a preview of the upcoming FSF collection featuring FYI Design and Fragment design and SOPHNET which consists of some highly technical outerwear jackets which combine the three headlining brands involved. With a three layer nylon feature on the jackets they appear clean subtle with little branding. Typical of all three design creatives involved, the jacket will no doubt contain the highest level of quality and luxury. Have a look at the jackets here.

As many of you know, I’m very interested in camera’s and go thru point and shoots quite rapidly. I’m almost feeling like the Ricoh GR2 I picked up a few months ago is ready to be replaced but that’s another story. This week at work has been quite the experience, we relaunched the site today and tons of meetings. With meetings comes friends from across the globe. One particular friend is AK who dropped off this Fragment cleaning kit I’ve been thinking about since seeing it on Hiroshi’s blog. Thanks Hiroshi. It will be put to good use.

Comes with a quick clip and is smooth as silk.

Tucks away nicely.

Had dinner with Heppler today. One thing is for sure, he’s got a ton of ideas. Talk soon Rob.

Fragment x Incase Iphone Case

While the Iphone market is really soaring at the moment, with Apple’s mobile phone sales sky rocketing to #3 position in the entire market behind Nokia and Samsung with only one phone. It’s easy to understand why the people from Fragment may have decided to team up with the folks at Incase on a case for the iphone. Anyone who knows me, knows I am a huge fan of simple crewneck knitwear, its been apart of my everyday uniform for sometime. When Uniform Experiment first launched the impression I got was that it was these types of simple mature garments that would be on offer. Just days ago we had a look into this collection of cashmere items from Uniform Experiment which also includes a series of beanies. Releasing this weekend at Soph Flagship stores and Isetan is ther series of Cashmere crewneck knits, in a huge variety of colours, with a subtle fragment logo on the back which we know will keep some people happy.

Honeyee recently provided us with a look at an interesting release of a series of items from Head Porter Plus and Fragment, dubbed the title “Frgmt/Head Porter Project”, this range features the polka dot pattern fabric similar to that of the ‘Dot black beauty’ series, added a blue or pink colored accent with the words ‘frgmt’. Uniform Experiment 2008 Autumn/Winter Collection

A few days ago we gave you a small preview on things to come from Uniform Experiment, now the entire fall/winter 2009 collection is officially online. Formed through a collaboration between two of the most influential people in the street fashion industry, Hirofumi Kiyonaga of Soph.net and Hiroshi Fujiwara. The labels philosophy is to provide a range for the now-grown ups who still have ’streetwear’ blood running through their veins.

While the previous collection was largely composed of monochromatic white-collar styled pieces. This new collection nicely reflect the philosophy including mature and classically tailored pieces mixed with some young and bold colors. The result is an impressive collection that will likely appeal to a wide range of fashion goers. We’ll definitely expect alot more great things from this label in the future.
