Following the success of the debut installation from Versace and H&M here is the first look at the spring/summer 2012 collection. This time slightly more subdued yet maintaining the luxurious feel Versace is renowned for. Consisting core items like a blazer, cardigan, shirts, shorts, a robe, and other great accessories there are 18 pieces in total. Entitled “Cruise” the collection will make its initial release on January 19 online.

“You know, I would never say never, but with those sort of things I really have to want to do and have the time to do it, but it really comes down to the people. I have done projects with Brooks Brothers before because they are an amazing group of people – the collection I do for Moncler is the same, I respect what they are as brands and so it really depends on that. I think that is the only real way collaborations work, when the two parties understand each other and understand where each person is coming from. I just did a collaboration with Rei Kawakubo at Comme des Garcons in Tokyo for Fashion’s Night Out and that was a huge success.”

Today H&M announced the next designer in line to collaborate with the European disposable fashion brand. Following in from the likes of Comme des Garcons, Lanvin and Karl Lagerfeld, collaborations which have all seen massive hype and sell through for the brand is Versace. Mens, Womens and Home collections by Donatella Versace will be available November 17th, 2011. Stay tuned for when the collection is revealed.

H&M have released the lookbook for their Fall/Winter 2011 collection. The collection is vast and varied, and it looks like H&M have jumped on the ‘man fur’ bandwagon which we saw heavily in Topshop’s Winter 2011 preview. Earlier today I posted an article that was a tease to the upcoming collection between Lanvin and H&M, now comes the official announcement. This collection consists of mens and womenswear designed by duo Alber Elbaz and Lucas Ossendrijve. This latest short film provides much more about how the project came about and Alber Elbaz’s thoughts on the idea. The collection will be unveiled on November 2 while the release is set for November 23.

Launching in Fall, this prospective collaboration between Lanvin and H&M once again fuses together two ends of the spectrum in contemporary fashion. This short film provides some great insight to the philosophy of Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz, well assumed, and with this news coming to fruition makes for a compelling thought.

It looks like H&M has snared one of the hottest labels in Europe — Lanvin — for its next designer collaboration. According to market sources, the Swedish fast-fashion giant will unveil a project with Lanvin and its creative director, Alber Elbaz, within the next week.

On Tuesday, H&M launched a viral video campaign on its Web site and YouTube to build curiosity about its annual holiday designer tie-up. A series of black-and-white videos features stereotypical fashion designer types: a man in a skinny dark suit; a woman in an outlandish blouse and chunky jewelry. By midday Tuesday, H&M’s Facebook page was peppered with guesses — Bottega Veneta’s Tomas Maier and New York society dresser Carolina Herrera among them — posted by Web users.

The video ends with the date Sept. 9 — presumably when H&M will unveil details of its latest collaboration, which have ignited retail pandemonium annually since the retailer first partnered with Karl Lagerfeld in 2004. Other designers to have collaborated with H&M include Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons, Stella McCartney, Roberto Cavalli and Sonia Rykiel. A project with Lanvin would be a coup for H&M, given Lanvin’s status as one of the fastest-growing designer firms in Europe, and Elbaz’s drawing power as a fashion personality.

We have all heard about H&M’s high profile designer collaborations, however their COS stores are one of the best kept secrets on the high street.  Featuring a more defined aesthetic with better quality materials and cut than their sister store that taking inspiration from the Jill Sander/Raf Simons/Martin Marigela school of fashion, and translating it into simple, original and affordable everyday wear.  They have just previewed their Spring/Summer 2010 range which offers a cool minimally designed collection that sees Cos set to give Uniqlo a challenger for our favourite high street retailer.

The collection promises to hold the high integrity of both Jimmy Choo and H&M. As all their designer collections the pieces will be limited. The collection will include everything from bags, accessories, a women’s apparel collection and of course -shoes. The collaborative debut is scheduled for November 14, 2009.
