Levi’s Fenom are at the centre of another interesting collaboration, this time teaming up with Japanese Hip-Hop collective Nitro Microphone Underground. The outcome is an interpretation of the highly coveted Decoration Crush Customize Denim, with the detailing providing a landscape finish.

Having previewed this latest addition from Levi’s Fenom, here is a closer look at the Multi Color DISCO Decoration Denim. Highlighted again by the Swarovski rhinestone motif on the back of the denim, this time the multi color finish provides a more nomadic finish. Completed in two washes with a dark wash and rigi while the 505 and 207 cuts are expected this makes for a compelling release.

The denim jackets are some of my favourite items from fragment designs Levis Fenom. Unfortunately, alot of denim jackets are cut short, given they are based on vintage models, for me anyway, this just doesn’t fit today, Fenom have taken this into account and have reshaped the classic trucker jacket for today. I was lucky enough to have tried on the sample of this new light washed jacket, and the fit is the best yet. Available now through Levis Japan’s online store, and other hard to find Fenom outlets.

Clot’s much in demand Levis collaboration has seen itself take yet another form, thanks to the surgical prowess of Dr Romanelli. Numerous styles from Edison Chen’s ongoing collaboration with Levis have been used to make a selection of custom made jackets. This example below uses the Levis Fenom X Clot collaboration that saw such massive queues last year. Stay tuned for a release in the coming weeks.

One of the things I like the most about fragment design’s ongoing capsule collection with Levis Japan, Fenom, is the way Hiroshi Fujiwara has been able to reinvent classic items without losing any of the garments integrity. With such high standards himself, and a huge understanding and interesting in authenticity, the Japanese designer/icon has been able to add value to items and give his personal touch without losing any of that craftsmanship of classic shape and feel. This new Western shirt is a good example, the materials keep the shirt true to its background, the cut is the same as that used by Levi’s for some time, and the details added merely add to the feel of the shirt, while at the same time adding some sort of modern touch.

The shirt is available in 2 colourways through Levis Japan’s online store, as well as Fenom stockists around Japan and priced at ￥21,000.
