Retro skater meets my old man for the Marc Jabocs Fall/Winter 2012 Collection, compiling a quite interesting aesthetic and pallet of colors. Slacks play an integral part in the collection, whether dressed down with sneakers or dressed up with a derby shoe the outcome is defined by the knitwear and outerwear. Refined cardigans, casual leather jackets, tailored coats and blazers, this makes for a very interesting installation with vibrant shades of mustard, blue and red matched with more subdued navy’s and beige’s.

This exhibition tells the stories of two men, Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs (artistic director of LV), and will highlight their contributions to the fashion world. An analysis rather than a retrospective, this parallel Vuitton-Jacobs comparison will provide new insight into the fashion system during its pivotal periods, beginning with its industrialisation and ending with its globalisation, focussing also on its artistic professions and crafts, technological advances, stylistic creations and artistic collaborations. Over a century separates Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs, but both come together in the excellence of their creativity at this once in a lifetime exhibition at Les Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Vogue have highlighted the appearance of designer Marc Jacobs on comedy animation South Park, a series known for a raw humour which often raises eyebrows. Shirt off, muscles popping and tattoos clear to see Muscle Man Marc was on hand to help Cartman find his favorite toy, Clyde Frog. While many are not to favourable about their appearance on the animation, Marc Jacobs was more than happy by twittering to the world just hours after the was aired, check it out here.
