We are given an look at what may have been the Spring/Summer 2011 collection from the now defunct label Nom De Guerre. From the styles presented in the lookbook shot by online retailer Bricksworth.com, collection is classic and simple offering everything you need for sensible dressing this Spring. Bricksworth.com is a new online store based out of Los Angeles. The store will be distributing a miriad of other brands such as Kicks/HI, Saint Alfred, Crooks and Castles Hawaii, Stussy Guam Chapter store and Shwood.

Timberland x Nom de Guerre 6 Inch Ballistic Nylon Boot

This interpretation of the iconic Timberland 6 Inch Boot by Nom de Guerre makes for welcoming news. Having applied a tough wearing ballistic nylon to the upper and a digi camo print as the accent color around the collor, this completes a distinctive design.

Nom de Guerre have really impressed of late with their aesthetic welcoming a lot of acclaim. The Nom de Guerre Spring/Summer 2010 Collection features some key items well interpreted with a touch of militia. The outerwear, shirting and pants impress with the colors and detailing to make for a great line.

The new Spring/Summer 2010 collection from Nom De Guerre has hit reatilers. Once again we see the New York brand’s typical military meets tailoring aesthetic however this time they have added a relatively brighter shades and more vibrant patterns to their usually muted colour scheme. I really like the cut of Nom De Guerre garments, especially their shirts and although I like the coloured chambray and tartan’s they have chosen for their summer shirting I’m not entirely sure the 3/4 length sleeve is particularly flattering for most (if any) men.

Nom de Guerre continue to build a signature aesthetic, a formal military look which blends well tailored traditional menswear. Entitled ‘Combat Continues’, the name itself says it all, as the New York brand continues to make waves by setting a tone in casual menswear, a tone that has been followed by so many. Nom de Guerre have managed to keep a very strong masculine aesthetic throughout, another sign of where menswear is headed.

Previewed briefly in their lookbook earlier this year, Nom De Guerre’s collaboration with Vancover’s Wings + Horns has hit stores this weekend. The capsule collection features 3 classic Nom De Guerre looks interpreted by CYC Design (Wings + Horns/Reigning Champ), including a thermal lined hoody (in grey and black), a cowl neck Jeep sweater and a zip-up Mock Neck cardigan. Some collaborations seem so obvious it is amazing they haven’t been done before, and this is definitely one of them with both brands unique take on a refined, mature version of streetwear complimenting each other perfectly.

adidas x Nom de Guerre Five-Two 3 Forum

Nom de Guerre’s recent collections have shown that the brand holds a direct military tailoring reference close to their heart. Taking part in adidas’ Five-Two 3 series, the collective have used the forum model to continue their strong theme. The colour’s are obvious, but the New Yorker’s have also reworked the Forum’s ankle strap in white rubberized cotton, referencing war hospital ankle bandaging. This is the second shoe as a part of this series, which I’ve really liked. Check out the Porter collaboration here.
