Patta continue to set a strong precedent in Amsterdam not only with retail and their own line, but also with their selection of collaborations that include the likes of Nike, Asics, KangaROOS, Reigning Champ and the like. The Patta Fall/Winter 2011 Collection looks set to make an emphatic release this weekend at the Patta flagship store, prior to a worldwide release. Consisting of some great pieces like a melton wool/leather sleeve varsity jacket, a wool knit pullover, a graphic crewneck sweater, various graphic and logo t-shirts and cotton socks this makes for an exciting initial release.

Following our initial look at this latest collaborative effort from Patta with KangaROOS, here is a more detailed look at the PxK Hiking Collection. This debut release from the on-going collaboration between the Amsterdam-based boutique and the St. Louis brand involves redeveloped and retooled versions of the archived K2 and Woodhollow models. Both hiking boots have been reworked and updated by applying CORDURA® Nylon fabrics and premium leathers in winter ready colorways. Alongside the trademark KangaROOS pocket, all models also feature subtle detailing in the form of colored eyelets, rubber PxK tabs and double branding on the outsole and woven labels. In addition to the custom PxK packaging, the Woodhollow models also include a double branded Victorinox Swiss Army Pocket Knife. The PxK Hiking Collection is set to release at Patta November 5th and will retail for €130,00 each. Worldwide releasedate is November 12 and selected retailers include: Avenue, Brothers & Sisters, Colette, CNCPTS, Footpatrol, Hanon, Norse Store, Overkill, Pigalle and Sneakersnstuff.

Amsterdam retailer Patta have pulled off another compelling project, this time working together with the relatively unknown entity KangaROOS. The outcome is a set of footwear dubbed K2 and Woodhollow, with the two designs defined by an outdoor feel with each pair accompanied by a Swiss army knife.

Patta is gearing up for a ‘Back-to-school’ inspired collection of shoes and stationary supplies. Teaming together with Chinese shoe brand Warrior Footwear, and German writing supply company Staedtler. Releasing three colorways of the plimsoll Club model, the shoe features canvas uppers atop a white midsole, pen-scratched by hand with Staedtler permanent markers and waterproof coating. Each pair comes in custom packaging, and includes a set of Staedtler stationery containing a corresponding Lumocolor 318 Permanent marker, Mars Lumograph HB pencil, Mars Plastic slide sleeve eraser and a mini writing pad. The collection goes on sale on Saturday July 30th and will be available in store at Patta and at warriorfootwear.com

Patta have once again teamed up with Kangol, engaging in a “Summer of Love” theme for Spring/Summer 2011. This endeavor utilizes a staple in the range for decades and delivers a set of Kangol’s famed bell shaped Bermuda Casual hats, the original classic sported from the streets to the beach.

The Kangol x Patta Bermuda Casual hats are knitted in Kangol’s proprietary bouclé yarn, treated with special processes before they are blocked. Here is a look at the first installation from the Patta Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. The collection focuses on the clear and bold Patta sensibilities combined with clean cuts. The Nena Cory sweater features striped color blocking, knitted from premium quality lambswool. The light cotton Burback Jacket is styled in a regular fit with side pockets, ribbed cuffs and small chest logo. The modest exterior is contrasted with a bright animal alphabet lining.

Alongside the key staples, there is also an assortment of cotton t-shirts with the Patta Logo-shirt executed in various pastel colors and 2 new styles featuring a Light Script-logo and allover graphic-print. The collection is completed with a set of embroidered Patta snapback hats. The images also give a small preview of the Patta G&V Chino Pant and Hartt Work Pant to be released Autumn 2011.

CYC Design’s in house brand, Reigning Champ are known around the world for their top quality fleece. The canadian brand have now collaborated with Dutch streetwear giants Patta on a unique fleece set, consisting of a custom zip hood jacket and fleece sweatpants. Each set is available in Dark Navy and Heather Grey, with co-branded labelling.

When the sets release on the 4th September at Patta for 250 euros(per set), they will be limited to just 75 sets. Other selected retailers include 24Kilates, Colette, Foot Patrol, Hanon, Norse and Soto. All will have the set available on Saturday, September 11th, 2010.

The Australian x Aux Raus x Patta Tracksuit is a tri-collaborative effort by a band, a brand and a curative artist. The tracksuit is limited to 75 sets and will be launched at Patta on May 7th 2010 with an official release event on the same evening in DEP venue.

The Band: The Amsterdam-based duo Aux Raus is made up of singer/beatmaker Bastiaan Bosma and guitarplayer/beatmaker Luuk Bouwman. Aux Raus’ live performances are an high energy experience, a mix of classic punkrock guitar riffage, techno beats and cathy pop tunes.

The Brand: Sportswear brand Australian has it’s roots in Milan, Italy. Under the Gabrielli name, the company produced ski and leisure clothing, but quickly found a niche in the tennis segment. The luxurious sportwear brand became popular on court and eventually made it’s way off court onto the European streets and music scenes and quickly became known as “The Aussie”.

The Curator: As friends and fans of Aux Raus and the 90’s Australian tracksuits, Patta acted as the curator of this project. The Italian-made tracksuit consists of a pair of trackpants and a reversible jacket, both produced from high quality polyester/cotton. The suit features an allover print of Aux Raus’ “The Brick Is In The Air” (TopNotch, 2009) album artwork by Australia-based artist Dylan Martorelli and Marco Sterk.
