Hyundai, as a car company has grown mammothly in its distribution, but also in its credibility of late, and to add to its new found respect, aims to target a more luxury market. This special edition Genesis will also be available throughout China and the Middle East in limited numbers. “The special edition luxury sedan is distinguished by special paint – either Brown Moro, Blue Baltico or Black Nero – with a shark-fin antenna on the roof, offset by dark chrome trim and special 19-inch alloys. The exhibition presents remnants of Pradas past catwalk constructions which have been presented in a new way to urge the viewer to re-think the constructions representation of ideas. Drawing attention to the ideas that may be missed in the fast paced fashion world.

Adding to their already released sunglasses which allow the buyer to add their own initials to the arm, Prada now offer a lettering service for their luggage. A number of bags are available online at Prada and in 12 stores around the world. Prada have taken a different approach to its peers however with a athletic style font and younger approach to their offerings.

Launching with a new image for its first male fragrance, Prada Amber Pour Homme has paired up with fashion designer and photographer Hedi Slimane to help them project just the right persona for the fragrance. Featuring Hedi Slimane’s elegant black and white portraits of Louis and Claude Simonon, (the sons of Paul and Tricia Simonon, the bass player and manager of the legendary British punk band, The Clash), the campaign coincides with Prada’s Spring/Summer 09 Menswear campaign. The new campaign is both relaxed and powerful, it seems the connection as brothers is strong and evidently present. Have a look through the campaign shots here.

July 27th marks the start of the Prada Transformer’s second installation. The pop-up Prada gallery was opened earlier this year, April 24th 2009, in collaboration with the Office of Modern Architecure. The Transformer’s latest project is a 14 film showcase of works that have inspired Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (Oscar-nominated director) and media personality Elvis Mitchell. There will be one movie played three times a day from July 27th – July 9th. The showings are open to the public and admission is free; you only have to book a ticket. booking.transformer@prada.com

In a statement, Prada said the brothers were photographed “in moments of reflection and introspection. It is a symbolic yet understated approach to desire in men’s wear; a new classicism with a rebel edge.” The Simonons are still in school in England and neither have previously modeled before or worked with Slimane. The artist has strong ties to the music world and published a photography book entitled, “Rock Diary,” earlier this year.
