The release includes EPMartin’s debut ‘Sahara’ models in the Torch collection which were Inspired from Operation Torch of the North African Campaign marking the first major airborne assault carried out by the United States in World War II and built for Charlie Engle for his coast to coast run across the Sahara, the chronograph comes equipped with an ETA Swiss Chronograph movement enclosed in a 44mm machined case with modular removable strap brackets, an Italian leather strap, a second Nylon expedition strap, and two custom strap replacement tools – all packaged in a leather stitched case.

The inspiration for the design of the Cartridge collection on the other hand came from the FP-45 Liberator pistol manufactured by the US in World War II for use by the resistance forces in occupied territories. A simple pistol that the Army turned over to the OSS (Office of Strategic Services) was stamped stainless steel construction that fired a single .45 caliber round. A simple yet refined design that is truly ready for anything, the Cartridge comes equipped with an ETA Swiss Made big date movement, Italian leather strap, a second Nylon expedition strap, and two custom strap replacement tools – all packaged in a leather stitched case.

TAG Heuer’s brand name has perhaps been one that implies superior quality, immaculate craftsmanship, fine luxury watches, and always on the cutting-edge of design. In adopting the slogan of ‘avant-garde communication’ they have developed a communication instrument named ‘Meridiist‘. This impressive device is Swiss engineered hand and assembled from 430 components, Constructed from corrosion-resistant watchmaking 316L steel. The phone features a Unscratchable 60.5 carats sapphire crystal dual displays, 28 days power reserve and 7 hours of talktime, including a notable feature of a front independent time unit, a feature synonymous with the labels timepiece history. And with a price tag of around £2500, you really can’t expect anything less. 

It has been reported that a pilot launch of the Meridiist at Selfridges London has sold out on the very first day it was available. Confirming the market opportunity for overly expensive luxury phones.
