The uniform experiment Spring/Summer 2102 Collection makes for an emphatic installation from the Japanese label with the combination of SOPHNET.’s Kiyonaga Hirofumi and Hiroshi Fujiwara working wonders again. With a BLUE & BLACK theme pivotal to the collection the aesthetic stays on path with what we have seen from the label in its short existence, with border stripes, paint splatter, plaids, star motifs all applied in an alternative manner.

News of SOPH. opening a new store in Kyoto comes as welcoming news for those in the Kansai area in Japan. The former capital of Japan holds great significance in the history of the country while recently the area has seen somewhat of a flourish of stores opening in recent years, most notably the F.I.L. store. Home to SOPHNET., F.C.R.B., and uniform experiment, the SOPH store opens on February 12 and is certain to be a big hit with the brand continuing to enjoy great success in their second decade of business..

Nike and uniform experiment have combined again to great effect with the SOPH. TOKYO 12th anniversary at the centre of the project. The outcome consists of two different track jackets and a pair of pants, combining the functional aspects of Nike with the navel, military theme uniform experiment are known for. Available from November 12, this makes for a great addition to the project with Krink.

SOPH. have set up a new retail outlet, this time inside the walls of renowned department store Hankyu Men’s Tokyo in Ginza. the aesthetic is clean and minimal, just like that of all the stand alone stores SOPH. posses throughout Japan. Ginza is home to a unique shopper so this makes for quite an interesting location as it is in stark contrast to the location of their store in Harajuku, none the less, very, very impressive.
