Although we post alot of what comes out of the Visvim camp each season, every now and then, a particular item really makes everyone here at SLAMXHYPE really stand out. This season, it would have to be this new Academia Jacket, Not only is a tweed jacket something I’ve been hunting for, but this jacket is hugely functional, making use of John Hanley tweed, and lined with Gore-Tex. Visvim have constructed two very impressive leather jackets for their much coveted Fall/Winter collection. The Elmendorf and Kautokeino jackets feature a slightly aged leather which is very subtle in the hand while the Kautokeino piece features a fur collar to provide a really nice dimension. The jackets are available in black, dark brown and a great shade of light brown while you will have to do a bit of searching to find out what the words Elmendorf and Kautokeino actually mean.

The Visvim Valdez is amoung the latest arrival from Hiroki Nakamura’s ever impressive Visvim outer wear range. The down coat not only features a Gore-Tex membrane but a selection of different closures from zips, snap dome buttons and tabs. With leather fixtures on the hood and cuffs to size the openings to the wearer’s liking this coat also has a coyote fur trim to add or take away from the hood.

Visvim have compiled another impressive collection with their very popular backpack. The Ballistic Shaker Collection features the patchwork seen during the spring/summer season which was hugely successful. This release came in black, olive, sand and white in 20L, 25L and the massive 30L was well received upon release today in Japan.

Visvim’s T.W.O. Boots Folk is something that might come in handy for those in cold weather climates, or just straight up fans of boots and Visvim in general. The suede upper and high-rise cut makes the boots look rough and rugged for trudging along in inclement climate conditions. Visvim have evolved on there much liked Nomad jacket with a far more ethnic looking piece this season. The very technical piece of outerwear mixes a classic anorak look with Gore-Tex while the addition of some leather straps definitely adds a nice feel.

The Visvim Kiefer Hi made a welcome release this time last year featuring a 2 Tone upper which had great affect. This season it will make a more extensive release with 5 epic color ways making its way into production. Here is a close look at the sneakers which are sure to be another massive release from the Japanese label creating a lot of talk.

Visvim’s Backpack’s have easily become the favourite amongst those in need of a bag these days, if it used to be Supreme Packs, its definately the more luxurious Visvim edition now. The latest 20L pack comes in 2 colourways and includes soft deer skin bottoms and a fur lining, in keeping with much of the Japanese brands recent footwear releases.
