Wood Wood has again teamed up with Hamburg retailer YBDPT STUDIO, this time to present their in-season collection for Winter 2011/12. For the launch of the YBDPT webstore, German photographer Jens Kaesemann shot the editorial “TODAY IS THE SHADOW OF TMRW” featuring the key pieces of the collection.

The YBDPT webstore offers a fine selection of exclusive brands and designers from all over the world with the focus on quality and longevity. In close cooperation with their local photographer Jens Kaesemann, who is famous for his documentation about youth and street cultures, they brought out an arty lookbook which should reflect the dark side of the in-season collection. True to the motto: It`s a black Christmas.

The Goodhood Store have invited a select group of artists to adorn some key looks from the autumn/winter 2011 offerings in the London store. Featuring Sickboy, Word To Mother, Russell Maurice (Gasius) and Mudwig and entitled “Beneath The Canvas”, each artist was shot at their studios wearing labels like Comme des Garcons Junya Watanabe Man, Norse Projects, Soulland, Wood Wood, SUPER and Universal Works.

The Wood Wood autumn/winter 2011 collection ‘Below the Above’ was inspired by children’s books, fairytale worlds and the European highlands; life in the remote wilderness and rough weather conditions that demand layers of clothes to keep you warm. You will find army and air force jackets, parkas and hoodies. Round neck and boxy jumpers, slim slacks for the girls and lots of knitwear and accessories, like necktube and poncho-sized scarves. A rhapsody of ambiguous references, past and present, sees various fabrics such as herringbone-printed canvas, structured Scottish cable knits and honeycomb wools, jacquard patterns, leather, fleece and silk coming together. The main colors are black & whites, cinnamon, dry plum and wine, shades of army green and of course many tones of blue.

Danish retailer and label Wood Wood have recently opened a new store in the heart of downtown Copenhagen. Designer Karl-Oskar Olsen, who also boasts interior design as one of his traits has made great use of the space with a dignified design. Highlighted by the use of natural materials, with a significant combination of wood and metal is aided by the moveable displays allowing the store to change its layout with ease.
