pile of Japanese lucky cat

I always knew that there was a tiny chance of winning the lottery, but I bought tickets for years hoping that at least one would strike gold. A few weeks ago, my wishes finally came true, and I hit it big—I had to rub my eyes to make sure that I wasn’t dreaming!

This new money will substantially improve my quality of life and give me plenty of opportunities to springboard into even bigger investments. Here are a few ways I’m going to use my winnings!

Paying Off My House

My mortgage has been both a blessing and a curse. Mortgages are usually advertised as a win-win—you get a house and you’re seen as responsible by the bank—but they take so long to pay off. My mortgage in particular has been a heavy burden, and I’ve paid a lot of it off already, but this new cash will get me so much closer to real financial freedom!

Nobody likes to be in debt, so I’m excited to pay off what I owe, especially because I’ll be able to pursue my other interests with the remaining funds!

Reinvesting In Stocks and Art

I’ve been following my friend’s advice about saving money. He knows a lot about the stock market and has encouraged me to set up a portfolio and invest in safe options, like trust funds. It’s wise, not to mention lucrative, to invest in the future while you can!

Just because I won the lottery, however, doesn’t mean that I intend to stop working. I need to keep busy and financially secure!

Filling My House with Fine Art

Another great way to invest your money is by buying art. It’s a tangible way of putting funds toward the future, and it is an even better way of keeping my living space lively. I appreciate fine art, especially abstract pieces, and sometimes go to galleries to purchase modest canvases. The price tags look different to me now that I have so much money at my disposal, and I’m looking forward to buying a collection of jaw-dropping work!

Of course, I don’t want to spend all of my money on art, but I do want to invest in a sizable array of pieces. There are so many blank spaces in my home begging for a splash of color! One of my overarching goals has been to make the house look more elegant, and it’s exciting to see this wish come to fruition before my eyes. One day, too, all of the art will be worth more than I bought it for, which is something to look forward to as time passes!

There’s No Time Like the Past

Every day, I look in the mirror and am reminded of how quickly I’m aging. There was a time when I didn’t care about the future and thought that I was invincible—I didn’t think that I would ever get wrinkles or saggy skin! Considering that I look older than I ever have, I’ve been researching ways to look younger, and the most efficient option seems to be a facelift.

The mini facelift is a surgical procedure that tightens the skin and muscles in the face. It will make me look ten years younger—in fact, it’ll be like walking into a time machine! I want to undergo this procedure as soon as possible to look my best and feel more confident. I owe it to myself after so many years of hard work and perseverance!

Celebrating with Champagne and Liquor

There is no better way to end a celebration than with a little champagne and liquor. I do want to save my money, but it’s okay to splurge on nice things once in a while.

It may be hard to believe, but certain alcoholic beverages can cost thousands of dollars! I might have to steer clear of these heftier price tags, but at the same time, I’ve always wanted to indulge in the most luxurious brands possible, so I may buy an expensive bottle of wine or two.

I can’t wait to invite my friends and family to the house and share some drinks with them. Everything is better with good company!
