Unique Ways Of Applying Kohl

For Smokey Eyes
Looking for an evening fun filled with drama? It’s but beautiful to look at too. You might need some smudging of eye makeup to achieve this look. Firstly, add in some kohl to the upper lash line, waterline and lower lash line too. A perfect lining isn’t really necessary. Now take a nice pointed edge brush to smudge out the kohl. A flat brush could also work if done right. Paint in or draw something like a small v at the corner of the lids. Now smudge this v out too in an inward direction.
Quick Tip: Applying a thicker line of kohl in the upper and lower lash line can help create an instant smokey look. With the use of petroleum jelly, the upper lash line can be gently smudged.

For Stark Eyes
You should apply white eyeshadow to highlight the lids if you want makeup that looks stark. White colored shadow is essential to create this look. Now go ahead and draw some thick lines on the lower and upper lashes to complete the look.

For Gothic Eyes
The most active form of expression today has to be old designs. Heavy dark kohl is a must for this kind of makeup. Apply some dark eyeshadow to the lids and then line heavily, both the lash lines.

For Winged Eyes
Pull the kohl on the upper lash a little to achieve a somewhat retro feel. Thicken it towards the corner. Fill out the outer corner by drawing the pencil in an inside direction. The winged line should extend from halfway towards where the eyebrow ends till the corner of the eyes. For added drama, draw a thin line of kohl on the lower rim of the eye.

A trend which is gold, right from the ’70s. This look can create a feel of proportionate eyes. Lines are darkened halfway and drawn in the form of semi-circles. Kohl is applied to the outermost corner which adds good definition the eyes.

For Arabic look, run your kohl pencil multiple times over the lash line, instead of just one. You are sure to get the effect.

Save this look for special events. Firstly, apply some kohl on the lower and upper lash line. The best way is to keep it as near to the lashes as possible. Now extend these lines in an outward direction. Give the lower lash line a gentle downward curve whereas the upper one should have a thrifty, high flying wing like feel. Keep these lines parallel to one another.

If your mood is to darken your pale eyes, instead of doing a lot of makeup, applying Kohl to the lower lash. Leave the eyelid just the way it is.
