Let’s meet the twin sisters with different skin colors-According to the world theory of twins, they think the two children born together are of the same face and kind. But the case was not identical for the fraternal twins. Fraternal twins mean they inherit the different genes from both parents. There is nothing in common between them. It means that there is a number of different characteristics, and in those, we can say the complexion of the skin that is in the unique physical appearance of the children.
Donna is half-Jamaican, and Vince Aylmer is half Caucasian are the fraternal twins with the different skin tones and the hair type and color. Donna shared her views by disclosing the fact that she is going to have twins after nine months. But then after giving birth, she realized that she had done a double take after getting that she has finally given birth to the two children with a different complexion. The twins got birth in Gloucester, England. Lucy got birth with the caucasian skin, blue eyes and red hair that is reminiscent of her Irish heritage. Maria was born with the dark complexion of the skin, brown eyes and black hair, reminiscent of her Jamaican heritage.
When the two children were young, then their mother would dress up the same as they both were twins. But they grew up they thought they are different from each other and so they decided to look different. Lucy told ITV in 2015 that “I do not want to wear the same things as Maria anymore, we look nothing alike.” Still, they have different taste and interests today.
Apart from being different in looks, they both are having different kind of personalities. Maria told ITV that “When we were little [Lucy] was always the shy one, I was always the loud one. And we got older, she did get more confident, but she is still quite shy. But I have always been the one that takes charge.” Maria also admitted that she is not shy to meet new people in her life and she wants to make new friends every day. But Lucy is the exact opposite of her. Lucy said, “I am terrified to go up to random strangers.”
The two girls did not see the different physical appearance in them being a child. Maria used to cry because of her curly, hair, and even she would cut them. The school time for the girls was never comfortable when they found being twins. They were disappointed with the looks. People would say to them that “How did it happen? We don’t believe you.” Lucy made it clear that her classmates used to bully her and she said, “They thought I was adopted, called me a ghost.”
Now both the girls are 21 years old, and both are embracing their differences. Maria is happy to share the sweet picture of both the sisters on their 21st birthday on the social media account this year. Also, Lucy shared the same photo on her Instagram account for wishing her twin sister Happy Birthday.
