Heating your hair using a straightening iron damages your hair in the long run. Over time, your hair starts looking dry and undernourished.

Minimizing hair damage caused due to heat:

Aloe Vera is good for your hair. To reduce the damage caused by hair straighteners, apply aloe vera gel onto your hair before straightening them. This will prevent your hair from getting damaged and give you shiny hair.

 

Things required:

-Hair Straightener

-A tail comb

-Aloe Vera

Method:

#1 cut the aloe vera leaf into small pieces using a knife

Take the aloe vera leaf and cut it into pieces of 1 inch. Carefully removes the spikes using the knife. Make sure that you don’t hurt yourself while doing this.

#2 Rub the aloe vera gel onto your hair

Part your hair into small sections so that it becomes easy for you to apply the aloe vera gel. Cut the aloe vera from middle so as to expose the gel. Rub the aloe vera gel on each portion of your hair. Make sure that you coat every hair strand with the gel.

#3 Go for straightening your hair

-After applying aloe vera gel evenly to your hair, start straightening your hair. Let you straightening iron heat for 5-6 minutes before using it for better results.
-Divide your hair into portions which are a 1-2 inch wide. Straighten these parts but make sure not to go too close to the scalp because you don’t want to damage your scalp.
-Go on applying a little bit pressure as you bring down your straightener to the end of your hair.
-Repeat this until all the portions are done.
