Easy home remedies to make your rough hair silky and smooth.

For them, treating and dealing with their rough and dull hair is a headache. They always wish to make their unmanageable, frizzy and dull hair smooth and full of life and shine.

Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe vera tends to soften your hair and provides them a smooth texture. It has moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties which soothe your hair and keeps them hydrated.

To use this, just extract some Aloe Vera gel and apply it directly to your roots. Massage gently and let it sit for some time. Later, wash it off with cold water. Repeat this process two or three times in a day for best results.

Hot oil massage.

To keep your hair healthy, hot oil massage is a must. It will keep your hair soft, hydrated and nourished. Hot oil perpetrates deep in the roots thereby providing nourishment deep down.

To use this, take some amount of coconut oil and heat it slightly. Apply it directly to your roots and massage gently. After that, wrap your hair in a warm towel. Leave this for a few hours and later wash your hair with a mild shampoo.

Don’t skip conditioner.

Conditioners are meant to make your hair soft, tangle free and frizz free. You should include a good quality conditioner in your daily hair care regime. Skipping the conditioner may make your hair rough and frizzy. So use a conditioner to make a difference to your hair. Also, remember to apply conditioner only to the ends of your hair and not to the roots.


Cold water treatment.

Hot water is a big no-no for washing your hair. Hot water does more damage to your hair than you can imagine. It drains out the natural oils from your scalp leaving it dry and undernourished. On the other hand, using cold water on hair locks in the oil and moisture in your scalp. So always use cold water for washing your hair.

Mayonnaise Magic.

Mayonnaise, also called mayo, works wonders when it comes to smoothening your hair. It leaves your hair smooth, silky and shiny. Properties like antioxidants, amino acids, and proteins strengthen the hair and leave it smooth and silky. To use this, simply take some mayo and combine with one spoon of lemon juice and one spoon of honey to it. Mix well and apply this mask to your scalp and hair. Leave it for some time and then wash off with a mild shampoo and follow up with a conditioner.

Apple cider vinegar rinse

Apple cider vinegar locks the moisture and hydration levels in your hair and makes them smooth. To use this, take a cup of apple cider vinegar and dilute it by adding three cups of water. Rinse your hair with this mixture. Leave it for not more than ten minutes and then wash off with cold water.

Avocado mask

Avocado is rich in antioxidants and proteins which keep your hair soft, smooth and manageable. It also contains natural oil which deeply conditions your hair. It is fibrous making it extremely easy for application. To use this, take a few ripe avocados and mash them finely with the help of a fork. Add a little bit of honey, olive oil, and lemon juice. Mix together well and apply. Let it stay for about 30 minutes and then wash off.

Gelatin mask

A gelatin mask makes your hair soft, silky and hydrated. It contains hydrolyzed protein in abundance, which treats your dull and damaged hair. It is also effective in treating extremely rough, dry and frizzy hair. To use this, Take a spoon of gelatin and add it to some lukewarm water. If you want, you can add in a few drops of any essential oil. Combine well to create a hair mask. Apply it to your hair and leave it for around 10 minutes. Rinse off with cold water.
