In the world of casinos, online casinos, betting, gambling, and the lavish life that comes with that. It can often be hard to make a name for yourself. In the bustling strip of Las Vegas, Nevada, the Native American Casinos scattered across America or the various other havens for the gamblers across the world. You can find that having your voice be heard requires standing out from the crowd.
Well, we have been able to sit down with someone who has taken the gambling world by storm. Setting up his own personal empire of businesses and projects. These include Zamsino, Gambla, and kiwi slots. These websites are all fantastic affiliate gambling websites and have made Erik one of the most successful entrepreneurs within the niche. So we thought that it would be great to get to know the man behind the magic. So here’s our interview with Erik king.
Interviewer – Morning Erik, thank you so much for joining us today. It’s an honor to be in the presence of such an esteemed and well-renowned businessman. I know we could get into pleasantries, but I realize your time is valuable. So let me launch straight into the questions. Firstly, I want to start off by letting our readers get an idea of who you are as a person. As a child, you grew up in London, then at the age of 13, you moved all the way to Sweden. Was that quite a culture shock for you?
Erik: Hi there, well firstly I want to say that I really enjoyed the English culture when I was a kid. I was always a fan of the dry British humor and the lifestyle that they live. I was quite settled into life in London and because its the business hub of the world, I feel like it was a big influence on me to be around that, even from a young age.
Though when my parents decided to split up and we upped and left for Sweden which was my Mother’s home. You can bet I was shocked, and it took some time to get used to it. Though, because my Mother knew the place and had the ability to acclimatize me to Swedish culture rather quickly, it soon returned to normality. Though in a way, I am rather grateful for the opportunity to take in other cultures at such a young and impressionable age. Through this, I learned so much and I think its why I like to travel so much in my adult life.
Interviewer: That’s a great attitude, seeing the positive in a rather sad situation. So after this, you decided that writing was your passion and began studying journalism, even managing to get a master’s degree at Lund University. What fuelled this passion?
Erik: Goodness, that could be any number of things. I always had a love for reading and also for telling stories. So I would often fill full notepads as a child, right up until the end of my adolescent years. Though I knew to be a novelist was never my path. So I decided to train in journalism. This allowed me to get a better grasp of critical literature and made me a more analytical thinker. I have no doubt that it has really aided my career.
Interviewer: I also gather that you were dreaming of becoming editor of your own massive Swedish based magazine? What changed that made you pursue other avenues?
Erik: I suppose that’s a two-parter. The first reason is that to do this, you need to be the best in so many fields. You have to be a leader, a meticulous planner, a damn good writer and editor, have extremely sharp website building skills. The list goes on. Although I had some of these skills and arguably was ready in some areas. I don’t think I was the full package at the time. I was still young and hadn’t earned any experience in a similar role.
Though the second, and the perhaps more relevant answer was that I was finally making money. I got an affiliate contract and my eyes lit up at the chance to make it big. A lot of my skills were transferable, plus, unless you are making it big in the writing game, it’s not a big money-maker. So I knew what was best for my career at the time and took my chances. Writing isn’t something I’ve forgotten about though. If I ever find the time to pursue it again with the resources I have now and the skills I have acquired, I think I could make a real go of it. We will have to wait and see.
Interviewer – Well, that is a very exciting prospect and I do hope you get that chance someday. Though, let’s focus on what you did decide to do. You quickly began to move toward the casino industry. What made you decide to go to Malta and pursue this?
Erik: Well, the reason I chose Malta was that it is the base of operations for a great number of online casinos. So I thought the best way to get into the industry and make a name for myself was through being right amongst it. Plus, have you seen Malta? The place is so tranquil and gorgeous. Though that was simply a bonus. The reason I was there was to forge a career and that is exactly what I did which led me to start now world-famous website Zamsino which is a comparison website for online casino bonuses.
As for why I chose the casino lifestyle. Well, I always had a fascination with gambling and casinos. Whether that be through TV, through online betting coming into popularity or just simply because of the thrill that is associated with high stakes gambling. There is a certain decadence to the high roller kind of lifestyle and I wanted a piece for myself. Plus the market was infinitely bigger than that of the journalism world. So for me, it was a no brainer.
