7. If Artificial Sweeteners Are Present

Avoid packaged drinking water which contains artificial sweetening agents if you are on a weight loss spree. This triggers your appetite and may cause you to over-eat. Therefore, so goodbye to lemon water already!

8. If The Sea Is The Source

Seawater is often impure as it is full of human viruses which can pose a threat to our immune system if consumed. If your mouth gets filled with seawater while you go for a nice swim, spit it out as it may contain pathogens which might lead to severe conditions like diarrhea, vomiting, etc. Seawater has a lot of salt too which means that you have to consume too much pure water to make sure that the body gets rid of those salts. The salty water can induce dehydration.

9. If You Have Consumed an Adequate Amount of Water Already

Drinking a lot of water will bring down the sodium levels which has its side effects, as mentioned earlier. It also affects the kidneys which in turn poses a threat to the blood flow.

A condition called hyponatremia is caused when you consume more water than the specified levels. One might feel depressed, dizzy and even confused. Overhydration can be as harmful as being hydrated, So make sure you keep a check on how much and when exactly you are consuming water!
