
What we should not eat in an empty stomach-A lot of people believe that the first meal we have when we start the day should be the largest and the best one. Breakfast is consumed on an empty stomach. A healthy meal will act as a fuel to restart our body in the morning. We should watch out for what we eat in the morning, however. Let us have a look at what we should eat and what we shouldn’t when we break this fast after waking up!
Foods You Should Not Be Eating-
1. Sweets
Sweets contain a lot of sugar which is responsible for releasing high quantities of insulin when consumed. This loads the pancreas which has just begun to function in the morning. This can lead you to diabetes in the longer run.
2. Puff Pastries
Foods made with yeast can cause damage to the lining of our stomach. This can lead to flatulence.
3. Pear
Pears are incredibly fibrous in nature. It can affect the thin mucous lining of the stomach which is empty in the morning.
4. Fermented Products Containing Milk
Foods that contain lactic acid benefit our digestive functioning, which is true. But on an empty stomach, HCl will end up killing the beneficial bacteria and give you almost no benefit from it.

5. Tomato
Tomato has tannic acid present in it which can react with HCl present in the stomach forming gastric ulcers.
6. Bananas
Bananas are rich in magnesium. Consuming them early in the morning will lead to high magnesium accumulation in the blood causing heart issues.

Choosing raw green veggies might not be right for you. They have reasonable amounts of amino acids present but they will only lead to abdominal pain or heartburns if you eat it on an empty tummy.
8. Carbonated Beverages
Drinking carbonated drinks will rupture the mucous membrane of the stomach. It will also deduct the amount of blood that flows to the stomach, leading to much slower digestion in the body.
9. Spices
Spicy food damages the membrane of the stomach and can lead to ulcers.
10. Citrus Fruits
These fruits contain citric acid which can lead to gastritis if consumed on an empty stomach.

Oats work great as they form a protective layer on the stomach lining which will make sure that stomach acids don’t mess with the mucous membrane. It is also fibrous in nature, meaning, that it can keep your cholesterol in check.
