This past Sunday I went to my very first Dodgers game.
As an Angeleno born and bred, it’s a little embarrassing to admit that I’d never been to a game. For the last couple of years I had tried to rectify the situation. The plan I had devised was foolproof: Drive to Dodger Stadium, scalp a ticket, eat a Dodger Dog and get a bad baseball tan. Unfortunately I kept procrastinating, with the assumption that baseball season lasted 9 months out of the year, and every year I missed out. But then Jacie from Nike and her mysterious email came along and the stars aligned.
To say I was excited on Sunday morning is a HUGE understatement. I was giddy with delight.
I got my goodies that NIKE gave me on Thursday and prepared for my day. It’s true what they say… expect the unexpected. I’m still reeling… and my stomach is still recovering…. (4 1/3 Dodger Dog, chocolate cake, caramel apple, popcorn, pretzels, nachos, chili, sodas, veggies, etc…)
My ticket to the game. The third game in the Dodgers-Yankees Series
